Aurea Caviar

Caviar is the shade the collection began with. It was chosen for density rather than darkness, a colour that keeps its shadow so the quilting stays legible without a contrast stitch. Every other shade in the range was judged against it.

The bag is cut by hand from a single skin of lambskin nappa. Our geometry, the faceted line that opens at the lock and resolves at the base seam, is aligned panel by panel before any stitch is set. There is no template and no press, only the judgement of the artisan who carries the piece from first cut to last. The padding is worked from behind, so nothing interrupts the face of the leather.

The hardware is made in Italy: cast in solid brass, hand-finished and plated there in 18-karat gold. The turn-lock carries the engraved monogram and is the only ornament the design permits. Inside, tonal black suede lines the bag throughout. Two interior pockets, divided by a suede partition. Handcrafted in our atelier, in a very small series.
